my dark, sinful heart

first thing this morning, i opened my twitter feed and found this tweet from mark batterson:

“At the President’s Easter prayer breakfast. Holy moment.”

i had two immediate responses.  choose one:

1. see, this is why i hate twitter. 

i am absolutely sure that mark batterson (a man i deeply admire) was not saying, “this is my not-so-subtle way of letting everyone know how important and influential i am.”  it was my twisted imagination and my dark, sinful heart that went there. 

2. instant panic!  “crud, was that this morning?  i was totally gonna’ go to that.”
